The description on dead.net includes this: - This product is build to order; based on a 3,000 unit minimum and all units ordered by April 1, 2011 - First 3,000 units will get a personalized version of the product - Individually numbered limited edition to orders placed, 7,200 maximum Am I reading that right, that they will make however many sets (7200 or less) there are orders for by April 1 (and did they have to make that April Fool's Day?)? If so, isn't it guaranteed to be sold out five months before it's even made, even if fewer than 7200 sets are sold? So what are the chances those sets will sell for anything less than $450 on the used market? Another idea that makes me smile is that I could sell my Fillmore 1969 set for at least $450 on ebay (after making copies of all discs, of course) and trade up from 11 discs to 60+. EDIT: Unless of course enough sets are sold in multiple orders to speculators, then it turns out that all of the people who wanted such a monstrosity had already got in on the initial run, so the extra sets being offered for resale don't find buyers and the bottom drops out of the market. I can't wait to find out!

I was very surprised by the pull down tab for quantity - you can buy up to 10? Or with multiple email addresses reserve more than that? While this type of speculative behavior might recall Dutch tulips, one never knows...

Also, since when was Burbank an address one associated with the band?

a-ha! (not the band)

I'm in that small camp with JOTS that thanks that Rhino does a great job (overall - not necessarily GD specific).

I think they have made mistakes but i doubt if the vault was still in GDP's control you would have seen this many releases in the last 5 years.

4 boxed sets (if you count the Vault Box)
1 mega box (if they can get their website straight)
NYE '76
To Terrapin
Egypt
Crimson White Indigo
over a dozen RT releases from shows ranging from '68-'93
Fillmore West compilation
probably missed something

I bet that compares pretty favorably to what was released in the previous 5 years.
